THE AIKIU – THE RED KISS

The Aikiu, a three piece Parisian art-pop collective fronted by the charismatic Alex Aikiu, have premiered the music video for their new single “The Red Kiss.”
The late 1970′s to early 1980′s New York City night life is the very foundation of which this band pulls inspiration from, celebrating sound and vision much in the same vein as icons like Grace Jones, Roxy Music, David Bowie, Eno, early “Jellybean Benitez”, Madonna and Giorgio Moroder did.

Embracing flamboyancy and the celebration of art, sex and self in music free of restraints is the gift that disco and nightlife gave to New York City (and other hedonistic hubs throughout the world of course), including London and Paris where the three musicians were born and raised, and magnetically drawn to each other creatively, without much surprise.
This past Fall saw the band champion a plethora of media accolades for their debut single ‘Just Can’t Sleep’ and are returning this Spring with their heavy hearted dance-floor ballad – ‘The Red Kiss’ out now on iTunes.
